What Movie Should You Watch While Eating Your Ice Cream?

Ice cream > popcorn on movie night, and you can’t convince us otherwise. Which movie should you watch the next time you take out a pint of your favorite flavor? We’ve got a few suggestions!

For the Disney Lovers…

You should watch Frozen, of course! What better entertainment pairing is there than ice cream and a movie about a snow queen? Disney’s Frozen is as sweet as our favorite dessert and the perfect choice for a family movie night. Bonus points if you can stack your scoops in the shape of a snowman. Worried about brain freeze? Let it go– the cold never bothered you anyway.

For Date Night…

You know this one’s gotta be a rom com. On your next ice cream date night, you should watch The Notebook! Love is in the air as our two protagonists enjoy their first summer together, which of course includes summertime’s best on-the-go dessert classic: a vanilla ice cream cone. You’ll need comfort food for this famous romantic tear-jerker!

For Musical Fans…

You can’t miss a movie that pays tribute to ice cream in song: you should watch The Music Man! Hum along to famous ballads and rapid-pace ditties as a con man’s scheme turns into a real hope that changes a small town forever. How does that one song go again? Seventy-six waffle cones led the big parade…

For Summer Evenings…

Mamma Mia! is the way to go! Packed with summer fun and ABBA tunes, this lighthearted and bubbly romp will get you laughing and maybe even coax out a tear or two. Our only edit? The wedding cake should totally have been made out of ice cream.

For the Action/Comedy Compromise…

Catch Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality! Ever wonder what would happen if a fists-first FBI field agent was forced to enter a beauty pageant for a case? You’re about to find out. Watch out for the scene where we learn even FBI agents need a pickup pint of their favorite flavor after a long day!

For ‘90s Lovers…

Take a seat to watch Forrest Gump run his way into and out of trouble! Tom Hanks double-fisting ice cream cones in the hospital after Forrest is injured in the, ah, backside is as iconic as they come. Prepare for laughs and not a few tears as you enjoy your sweet treat alongside this beloved character!

For Fans of the Classics…

It doesn’t have to be Christmastime to watch It’s a Wonderful Life! Everyone knew Mary and George Bailey were meant to be when she professed her undying love while he was scooping her chocolate ice cream. Sure, she said it in his bad ear so he couldn’t hear, but she got over those nerves eventually!
